Non-Certification Track

The non-certification track is a 32-credit program that can be taken fully online and prepares students for careers in educational technology both within K–12 schools as well as in other formal and informal learning environments, including libraries, higher education and the private sector. Students are admitted on a rolling basis and the GRE is not required. All international students are required to take the TOEFL.

Exceptional Hands-On Learning

At Adelphi, we believe hands-on experience is key to setting our students up for future career success. In the educational technology capstone course, you will build on the skills acquired in prior coursework and apply them toward a semester-long multimedia project. You will work with your fellow students to vote for a unique theme that reflects a contemporary social concern and do additional research to build an informational or persuasive element to your final project. Past students have used this project as an opportunity to test their skills, gaining first-hand experience building interactive websites, creating videos, documentaries or mobile apps and creating entire experiences through augmented reality and gallery displays.

Additional hands-on experience can also be gained through various internships offered through the program, including an instructional design internship for outstanding educational technology students funded by the Adelphi Faculty Center for Professional Excellence (FCPE).
